Making a Product Sale

Step-by-step guide for completing the sale of a product (or products) to a customer

In order to complete the sale of products to a customer, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. From the Home screen select the 'Products' action button

  2. Look up an existing customer, or add a new one (optional)

  3. Select a product or products, as well as the quantity being sold by tapping on the '+' icon on the right hand side of the corresponding product row

  4. If there is any additional charge required as part of the sale, press the 'Add Custom Charge' button located at the bottom of the screen (optional)

    1. enter the amount of the charge using the pin pad

    2. Press the 'Enter' button in the lower right hand corner of the pin pad (the light-colored button with the arrow pointing towards the right)

    3. You will then be brought back to the Product screen where you can continue the sale

  5. Press the 'Go To Checkout' button located at the bottom of the screen

  6. You will then be brought to the checkout screen, where you can:

    • Complete the sale by pressing the 'Pay' button and asking the customer to provide their payment method (tap to pay, swipe or insert card, manual card entry)

    • Add or Edit a Custom Charge* by pressing the corresponding button in order to add or make changes to a custom charge amount

    • Apply a Giftcard* to the total by pressing the 'Use Giftcard' button and entering the requested information and total to be applied to the purchase.

    • Apply a Promotional Code* to the total by pressing the 'Add Promo Code' button and entering the requested information and total to be applied to the purchase.

    • Enter a tip amount* at this point using the 'Add Tip' option displayed below the Totals near the bottom of your screen.

* Feature availability is dependent on settings configured at the organization level. If a feature is not visible on your device, it has not been enabled by your administrator.
