How do I connect my Stripe account to VanillaPOS?

VanillaPOS uses Stripe’s secure OAuth process to connect your account. When prompted, click “Connect with Stripe” and log in to your Stripe account. Once authorized, VanillaPOS will store your stripe_account_id so you can begin processing payments immediately.


How does Stripe OAuth onboarding work with Vanilla?

VanillaPOS supports Stripe Standard OAuth onboarding.

Each business can connect its own Stripe account by authorizing VanillaPOS through the secure OAuth process. Once connected, all transactions and funds flow directly into the business’s Stripe account.


Can I manage my own product catalog in Vanilla?

Yes. Each connected Stripe account can create, edit, and delete products independently. This ensures full control over your product listings without sharing a global catalog.

Can I set my own prices in VanillaPOS?

Yes. You can set fixed prices or enable “variable pricing” for products. Variable pricing lets you set the price during checkout instead of assigning a default price in advance.


Where do my payments go when I use VanillaPOS?

All transactions are processed under your connected Stripe account, and funds are settled directly into your bank account. You remain the merchant of record for all sales.


Does VanillaPOS charge platform or application fees?

In its standard configuration, VanillaPOS does not apply platform or application fees to transactions unless agreed upon as part of your deployment.
