Vanilla allows businesses with multiple stores to control where individual products, subscriptions, and discounts are available.
Store Scope
When creating or editing an item, use the Store Scope setting to determine which stores can access it.
Where does Store Scope apply?
Your Store Scope settings determine where a product, subscription, or discount is available throughout VanillaPOS.
For products, this includes:
S700 devices - Only products available to the selected store will appear for sale on the device.
VanillaPOS mobile app - Products are shown based on the store being used for the transaction.
Invoices - When creating an invoice for a store, available products are determined by the product’s Store Scope settings.*
For example, if a product is available only at Store A, users operating a device for Store A can sell that product. Users operating from Store B will not see it as an available product.
The same Store Scope concept applies to subscriptions and discounts, allowing you to control which locations can offer or use them.
Store Scope Options
Global
Select Global when the item should be available at every store associated with your VanillaPOS account.
Include specific stores
Select Include when the item should only be available at specific stores.
After selecting Include, choose the stores where the item should be available.
For example, if a product includes Store A and Store B, users at those stores can access the product, while users at other stores cannot.
Exclude specific stores
Select Exclude when the item should be available at most stores but unavailable at specific locations.
After selecting Exclude, choose the stores where the item should not be available.
Which setting should I use?

Store Scope can be configured for products, subscriptions, and discounts, giving multi-store businesses more control over what is offered at each location.
